Tomorrow

I’m going back to work tomorrow.

It is absolutely the right choice for my family, but that doesn’t make it any easier.

I have so many thoughts and feelings about this, but today is not the day to write about them.

Today is a day for baby kisses and snuggles.

Comments

  1. Enjoy your day with them! I know how incredibly tough it will be to make the transition back to work, but you guys will figure it out and your family will settle into a new routine and it will get easier. Good luck! I hope it all goes smoothly.

  2. I am so glad you were able to spend the time with your girls!! I know it will be difficult for you to be away from them, but it will make coming home all the sweeter 🙂 Just think – Christmas break is coming up soon, so you will be able to dress your adorable little ones in warm, snuggly outfits and spoil them with all the gifts they can handle. I love you very much, and I absolutely can’t wait to see you soon!

    Love always,

    Meghan

  3. Good luck going back tomorrow! I cannot even begin to imagine how hard it is going to be to leave your beautiful little girls behind, but I also know how much you love teaching and I know that with time you will find a balance. Praying for you and Ted! (Check your e-mail as I sent you a message a few mins ago).

  4. I hope it goes well. Lot of good thoughts coming your way!

  5. Oh, Erin – thinking about you! I can’t imagine how difficult that must be… good luck at work tomorrow though! And with everything else. 🙂

  6. Good luck, Erin! I’ll be thinking of you. <3

  7. I hope your coworkers will understand. I don’t have a baby so I can’t really relate to you but recently my good friend had to come back to work after having her first baby. On her first day back, she cried all day long. The mothers of our group were there for her and supported her the best they could. The rest of us told her that we were here for her but gave her lots of space. She has been back for a while and still struggles but we all understand. Hopefully your coworkers will understand too. Good luck and we will all be thinking about you tomorrow.

  8. Baby kisses and snuggles are the best prescription. I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow!

  9. I hope you have enjoyed today immensely with your girls, and I will be thinking about you tomorrow as you go back to work. I know it’s going to be tough, but you are so strong and have been through so much that I know you will be better for it. And you’ll have your girls and hubby to come home to, so that’ll make it positive. *hugs*

  10. I will be thinking of you all tomorrow. Sending hugs.

  11. Sending lots of good thoughts and positivity your way! I’m sure that your coworkers will understand how tough this first week will be for you. I don’t have a child yet, so I can’t fully understand all that you’re going through, but I’m pulling for you! Good luck on your first day back. I’m sure the moment you walk in the door to see your girls will be the best part of your day. XO

  12. I hope that you are surviving today!! 🙂

  13. I hope your day is going well.

  14. awe – I’m glad your first day went by fast…I know this is hard on you but you are doing the best thing for you and your little family! <3 you

  15. I hope your day went well today and that you got lots of baby snuggles when you got home.

  16. You are doing what’s best for your little family – I can imagine it’s really really difficult to leave them behind, but each day I hope it will get a bit easier. Hang in there this first week <3

  17. OMG, your girls have gotten so big over this past month! I cannot believe how fast they grow! My heart is with you as I will be heading back to work after the first of the year. I think it’s heart breaking for most moms. But, you are a fabulous mother, regardless of whether you work or not, and you will figure out a way to make the most out of your situation.

  18. Thinking of you this week. Hope it all goes well. Was such a joy to see you and meet the girls. Hopefully we can do that again in the next few months =) <3.
